I think the craziest thing you noticed is Chani's blue headband. It says somewhere (Idk if it's in the book or the writer of the book said it idk) that when a freman is in love they are blue. I think it's crazy that you noticed and put together that when she was wearing blue she was in love and that when she wasn't wearing it (at least not on her head) she wasn't in love as much anymore One other thing I'm the book Chani believes in the prophecy but in the movie she is the only one who doesn't. I like that change and think it works well for the movie. Loved the reaction, and am glad you enjoyed this amazing movie.

Just in case it wasn't clear at the end of the movie, you hit the notch, Alia (Paul's sister) did receive all the memories of Reverent Mothers just like Jessica when she drank the Water of Life. Alia literally became conscious as a fetus, with the hundreds years worth of knowledge. So her communicating through Jessica was the real deal.

This film is phenomenal! It has single handedly convinced me that true cinema is still alive. I’m incredibly excited for the third film. @29:00 it was a newish technique filming with infrared, and not black and white, which is why it looks so stark and strange, its a wave of light humans cannot see without something else to show it. You can see infrared on your own with a cellphone camera and any battery powered remote control, the camera will see a light flashing from the remote control that you cannot, one of the cooler home sciency things you can witness for free, at least for me it was. TLDR HARKONNEN ARENA IS ALL INFRARED RECORDING

Watching this in iMAX.... not ashamed to say I was vibrated out of my seat several times :'D such an overwhelming experience! Also, the Harkonnen homeworld, Giedi Prime, orbits a Black Star, great Directorial decision to go with the Desaturated/Black & White for their outdoor aesthetic. The Planet is almost totally Industrialized also.

I mean it’s a meme but really - you’ve only experienced 70% of this movie at home, IMAX truly sets this movie apart from the standard or at home versions. You feel the weight of every moment in your balls

Alex understood a LOT more of the plot in Part 2. But there is just so much to take in. You cannot absorb if all in one sitting.

Awesome reaction. Regarding the black+white harkonnen planet, the narrative is that they have a "Black Sun", so in the day time there is no color at all. And your comments about what it says about the harkonnens, is exactly the impression Frank Herbert wanted. Behind the scenes, Denis & Co filmed it all in Infrared, hence why the black+white scenes look so crazy.
